Like the rest of the hill country, February to April tends to bring the clearest skies, though the cooler climate makes it a pleasant escape from coastal heat throughout much of the year.
Given the elevation, pack warm layers for cooler mornings and evenings, along with comfortable walking shoes for exploring the tea estates and countryside.
Pussellawa lies along the main Kandy-Nuwara Eliya road, roughly an hour or so from Kandy by car, making it an easy stop on a hill-country itinerary.
